We got our first two breeding female German shepherds in 1985. Our first male shepherd was purchased in 1987 and we had our first litter in 1988. We have been breeding German Shepherds for just over 20 years now, a bit longer than the horses. We have always had square backed shepherds that stand level and have never had trouble with hips. Our shepherds are bigger than average in size with nice large heads. They have that classic German Shepherd look to them and they are black and tans or black and reds. They make great family dogs and are good with children. Our pups are whelped in the house and then moved to a stall in the barn after a few weeks. We find that barn raised dogs are more easily potty trained than dogs raised in a house the whole time they are pups. We spend hours each day socializing with the pups, playing with them, taking them on walks etc. We are down to having one litter a year now that we are breeding more horses. A spring 2009 litter is planned between Ringo and Gracie. Contact us if you are interested. |
We picked Ringo out at 5 weeks old. He is incredibly handsome, large, classic German Shepherd with a nice square back. He has a wonderful personality, very playful and athletic. Loves to give hugs and kisses. He has sired 6 litters and makes wonderful family dogs. Everybody loves his pups!
